Abstract
During the conveyance of oil and gas, as a result of environmental factors, pressure fluctuations, and varying temperatures, the pipes sustain damage due to the occurrence of fractures, erosion, and internal corrosion.
To maintain the functionality of any pipeline, the pipes must be diagnosed frequently. The article provides information about the current endoscopic diagnostic method. The steps of the automatic measurement method are shown. So, usually the obtained crack images are visually read by the operator. Currently, it is possible to detect pipe defects using computer vision methods obtained by the proposed method. Images obtained during in-pipe diagnostics are read using the selected algorithm and Python program, and the parameters of the cracks are determined.
