Andrew Batavia, associate professor of health law and policy at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, was associate director of the White House Domestic Policy Council under President George Bush and was a former legislative assistant to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ). He is a quadriplegic who can speak about wheelchairs and disabilities from both personal and policy perspectives.
