1. Among others, we talked about Yamun?-Kaly??? too. His opinion is that D?k?itar's Yamun?-Kaly??? fell out of use, and in later times, Hindustani Yaman-Kaly?? in its modern form was again brought into Carnatic music, and underwent changes, becoming the madhya r?ga it now is;I had a discussion with Vid. T. M. Krishna,2018
2. Below, I provide recording links of two Yamun?-Kaly??? songs, again in praise of Kr? ??a, that have become immensely popular in modern times. These are "Kr? ??? n? b?gane b?r?" in Kannada and "Bh?vay?mi G?p?lab?lam" in Sanskrit. The latter is one of Vid. M. S. Subbulakshmi's trademark songs, and the former is similarly connected to Vid;I call this Yamun?-Kaly??? of the third influx, the first-influx type being that of Muddu Ve?ka?amakh?, and the second-influx type that of D?k?itar,2002
3. Ramamurthy too mentions the Yamun? river. The original singer of this kr? ti is Vid. Aruna Sairam. I have not heard it sung by any other musician. Though it bears the r?gamudr? of "Yamun?-Kaly???" in the anupallav?, it contains no M1, and sounds exactly like the modern svar?pa of Hindustani Yaman, which I described at the beginning of this section. The composer was evidently very knowledgeable in Hindustani music. The t?ra saptaka is also emphasized in this kr? ti;An interesting exception is Tiruvarur Ramamurthy's 20 Tamizh kr? ti "Yamun? nadi karai tannil,1997
4. Yamun? nadi", this song too gives a special importance to G". However, it uses M1 as well, but only in the refrain ("vannamayil?"). The rest of it is very similar to the Hindustani prak?ra;Another such example is the Tamizh song "Andi mayanguda?i ?sai peruguda?i" from the film Parthiban Kanavu,1960
