1. D-raffinose (D11) and ?-aminobutyric acid (F1). Isolate SG1 results in a homogenous C-source utilization. Isolates of T. spirale, VB25 and VB33, reach the maximum population size when growing on succinic acid monomethyl ester (G5) and succinamic acid (G3) respectively. Likewise, the two isolates of T. hamatum show different nutrient assimilation with SG18 largely favoring i-erythritol (B4) and SG20 catabolizing different substrates;D-malic acid (F10), quinic acid (F12) and D-fructose (B5).
