1. Digital images of Co-MLBs with hetero-offset angles after each NIR on/off cycle. The changes in the head position are marked according to the NIR on/off cycles. XY coordinates with the position change of the head and center of the Co-MLBs with hetero-offset angles. Scale bars: 1 cm. As shown in Fig. 7d, the co-MLBs showed a notably greater average locomotion velocity (BL s -1 ) than other MXene-based soft locomotors owing to their high bending performance. Table S4 summarized the detailed parameters of previously reported MXene-based locomotors. In addition to the linear locomotion, a self-rotational movement was achieved by assembling two MLBs with hetero-offset angles; The detailed parameters are described in Table S4
2. When the NIR irradiation is halted, the twisted -60 MLB and bent 0 MLB both recover their original flat shapes. Here, the head position of the assembled MLB moves through an arc as a result of the rotational movement. The combination of torsional twisting and dragging triggers the unidirectional rotational movement of the assembled MLB;Nir Under;MLB induces a directional torque via a twisting motion, whereas the 0 MLB positioned on top of it bends, dragging the entire body (Fig. 7f and Movie S10)
