1. The crystal structure of the Ni x TiS 2 compounds is described in a trigonal structural model with a 𝑃3𝑚1 space group. Ni atoms occupy only octahedral positions and do not order at any studied concentration. According to EMF and X-ray diffraction measurements, we can conclude that Ni 3d xz,yz /S 3p hybridization is more likely responsible for the electron localization than Ni 3d/Ti 3d hybridization.
