Abstract
Abstract
Densification behavior, microwave and mechanical properties of the low temperature co-fired CaO–B2O3–SiO2 glass-ceramic with additions of La2O3–B2O3 and SiO2 were investigated. The results showed that the La2O3–B2O3 addition promotes the crystallization of the CaSiO3 and clearly enhances the flexural strength of the CaO–B2O3–SiO2 glass-ceramics. Si was added to adjust the shrinkage rate of the glass-ceramics to meet the actual use and the dielectric and mechanical properties were not significantly affected. The CaO–B2O3–SiO2-6 wt.%La2O3–B2O3-7 wt.%Si sample showed a flexural strength of 160 MPa, ∊
r of 6.13 and loss of 12.34 × 10–4 (10 GHz), shrinkage rate of 14.9 %.
