Abstract

Community development is expected to increase the level of economic and social welfare, especially for people living in rural area. The pandemic is one of the causes of economic downturn in the rural area. Entrepreneurship is one thing that can be done to earn income in the rural area. Reflecting on the current conditions, the community needs to adopt technology and increase the potential capacity of existing resources to maintain the economy on a household scale. Aquaponics is a fish cultivation technique combined with plants, especially vegetables. Optimization of resource utilization through the cultivation of lelekung (catfish and water spinach) using buckets and biofloc ponds needs to be tested through socialization and training to the community, so that the feasibility of the technology for the Nagori Pematang Panombeian community can be determined. The level of feasibility can be seen from the success of obtaining benefits from the cultivation process of these two technologies. The integration of catfish and water spinach cultivation through biofloc shows success based on the benefits obtained from rural communities using biofloc.
