Abstract
A 21-year-old woman presented in her first pregnancy with an asymptomatic vaginal mass which increased significantly in size during the pregnancy. The appearance of the vaginal mass and lack of specific radiological features clouded the diagnosis. The diagnosis of vaginal leiomyoma could only be obtained by histological examination after excision of the mass. We describe the clinical course, difficulty in diagnosis, and management of the case. The dilemma remains as to how to follow up such patients, especially with regard to future pregnancies.
