First person – Saba Naghipour

Abstract

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Disease Models & Mechanisms, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Saba Naghipour is first author on ‘ A gut microbiome metabolite paradoxically depresses contractile function while activating mitochondrial respiration’, published in DMM. Saba is a PhD candidate in the lab of Eugene Du Toit at Griffith University, Southport, Australia, investigating the role of trimethylamine-N-oxide in the development of cardiovascular disease.
