Abstract
ABSTRACTFirst Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Biology Open, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Ishani Mukherjee is first author on ‘ What drives mixed-species shoaling among wild zebrafish? The roles of predators, food access, abundance of conspecifics and familiarity’, published in BiO. Ishani is a PhD student in the lab of Dr Anuradha Bhat at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, investigating how ecological factors impact behaviour of multi-species schools.
