Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the higher education sector to move from traditional in-person teaching and learning to hybrid pedagogical practices. Presently, almost all higher education institutions have commenced transiting from the physical classroom space to the online teaching and learning space. Hence, the impact of the fourth industrial revolution (4IR) has started manifesting in higher education, as evident in the modus operandi adopted recently by the service providers. In other words, as the world advances, higher education institutions are incorporating Industry 4.0 (I4.0) technologies. This transition is part of the evolution of higher education for the 21st century, referred to as Education 4.0 (EDUC4). Hence, this chapter presents a discus on promoting EDUC4 for effective post-pandemic higher education, considering the essential role of I4.0 technologies and meaningful hybrid e-training.
