Social Networking Skills in Information Literacy Towards Disseminating Scholarly Communication Among Research Scholars at Alagappa University

Abstract

The study aims to identify the fundamental principles and utilization of social networking skills (SNS) in information literacy (IL) by research scholars of Alagappa University. It intends to compare the earlier educational level, dissemination of information level after employing SNS in research. It also frameworks the challenges recognized by the scholars in accessing SNS and profound changes in information environments and outlines of generation and necessity of scientific information in new modes of assessment, which predominantly focuses on methods and standards of scientific research work. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires through Google form and print form among research scholars of various departments and received 71 responses.
