Abstract
Research has shown that the implementation of dynamic assessment in the second/foreign language (L2) teaching affects students' learning potential and improvement. Ιn this light, the aim of this chapter is to examine the effectiveness of the method of dynamic assessment on improving adult learners' writing skills in Greek as L2 during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research focuses on the effect of online feedback, mediation, and strategies adopted on improving text quality and the writing process in general. A four-week on-line teaching intervention focused on teaching and assessing writing was carried out. Findings based on quantitative analysis show that students improved their writing competence on content development, text organization, and grammar accuracy. Nonetheless, the limitations of this study indicate the need for further research on the implementation of dynamic assessment by distance.
