Abstract
In the current Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), or Industry 4.0, learning—and consequentially learners' comprehension—either in a discipline-specific (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics- STEM disciplines) or general decision-making, can be marred by inappropriate use of the cognitive tenets, particularly so in the current 4IR or Industry 4.0. Accordingly, the current study is informed by this challenge and in part anchored upon theoretical disposition of 4IR or Industry 4.0 cognitive principles. The present research provides both theoretical and empirical examinations to improve mathematical discipline cognition as well as general decision making, thus aimed to enhance knowledge-building and subsequent development in discipline-specific.
