Abstract

Higher education has faced constant challenges in recent years, which has been accentuated by the COVID-19 pandemic experienced since 2019. In a short time, institutions, lecturers, students, and their families have experienced completely different models of education. The implementation of an internship for students of a professional higher technical course in gerontology in a care institution for the elderly was also subject to profound adaptations. This chapter aims to frame the CTeSP in the Portuguese educational system, describe the CTeSP in Gerontology of the Polytechnic of Leiria, understand the management of the internship of the CTeSP in Gerontology in a pandemic and lockdown context, frame the project methodology and the e-portfolio, present some work done, and reflect on the relevance of the methodologies adopted for its continuity.
