Abstract
This book chapter focuses the research on the implementation of a unique IoT-based technique for remotely monitoring and analyzing the performance of a solar photovoltaic plant. This paper will put in use of the ThingSpeak cloud services to monitor the output data from anywhere in the globe. Using the ESP8266 NodeMCU open source IoT platform, the panel's output voltage, current, and power are monitored. Solar energy is at the forefront of renewable energy because it is the simplest and most commercially feasible method of generating electricity from the sun's power. This necessitates the use of a real time monitoring system. In order to enhance the circuit's safety, measurement of the panel temperature, output voltage, and current is done.
