Abstract

There are two types of online learning, which are online learning and hybrid. COVID-19 pandemic, coining the term “new normal” has impacted, directly and indirectly, the global economy, including shaking up the education sector. The education system completely shifted the learning method from traditional face-to-face classes to an online learning system. This situation has posed an extreme challenge to the education community and forced the educators to shift their teaching mode overnight. Taylor's University had constantly applied traditional learning in quantity surveying education has been exposed to the new changes as well. This pandemic has highlighted the need for more online technology training and evolution. However, the online learning trend in quantity surveying education remained undervalued due to the familiarity of students with traditional face-to-face classes. Hence, the objective of this research is to identify the differences in students' attitudes, to identify the differences in students' achievement and to provide strategies to improve online learning and hybrid learning.
