Abstract
When the trendsetting ‘buzz word' in technology came forth in recent years, some educators became a little wary of the term “artificial intelligence.” Why is that? Perhaps the idea that something existing other than the human brain to make calculated decisions regarding the creation of exams, or the ability to plan a lesson without hours of research seemed too ‘foreign' or ‘unnatural' to them. However, for some, the realization of yet another branch of technology to assist practitioners in the ever-evolving pedagogical fields seems quite natural as well as massively time-saving. This chapter will attempt to lightheartedly decipher a few points of artificial intelligence and its implications for greatly improving the future of teaching and learning, plus a few wise words of caution… both for the teacher and the learner.
