Abstract

This chapter takes the Tsinghua University Suzhou Automotive Research Institute, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, and Guizhou “Intelligent Transportation Cloud” as examples to discuss the roles of digital twins in accelerating the transformation of transportation digitalization and the impact of digitalization on relevant enterprises. This chapter will focus on the models of how digital transformation can help stakeholders in the transportation industry create a better-connected experience. In addition, CiteSpace will be used in this chapter to visualize and analyze the digital twins/transportation/digital transformation documents in the database of the web of science (WOS) from 2017 to 2022. The authors also conducted a survey to analyze how the digital twins of China's transportation industry promote its digital transformation. This chapter will provide suggestions for the problems in the digital transformation of the transportation industry.
