Abstract

In this chapter, the authors discuss the benefits of developing and deploying a care-oriented, person-centered rubric for supporting effective online learning relationships. The process by which the rubric was developed at the university and a detailed faculty-focused rubric are presented as part of a larger inclusive teaching and learning standards framework, and the implications of utilizing both the rubric and ITL frame for future faculty recruiting, development, and assessment are discussed.
