Abstract
Various enforced rules on human beings due to pandemic have made them spend more time indoors. Hence, improving indoor air quality (IAQ) is significant so that people can work efficiently under good indoor ambience. There are various plants in nature that absorb harmful ingredients from indoor environments based on their biological properties. This chapter presents an internet of things (IoT)-based biological plant recommendation system to improve indoor air quality. This system monitors a particular indoor environment and measures the concentration of various gases at the front-end. In the back-end subsystem, the data received from the front-end subsystem is assessed and a suitable plant/s from the cloud database is recommended. This is a very handy and cost-effective system and can be easily implemented in any indoor environment.
