Abstract
The future is all about machines or devices. Smart devices are strong enough to create a network, establish connections among nodes, and exchange data as and when required. Internet and IoT are two sides of the same coin responsible for ubiquitous connectivity (24x7x365). The modern digital society depends upon IoT in the future to come, which would inherently invite various threats and new challenges due to its diversity. The entire internet is divided into multiple levels (i.e., surface web, deep web, and dark web), which is further explored in terms of providing anonymity. Non-electronic devices can also be connected which then forms the internet of everything (IoE). Security is often ignored by many manufacturers due to the rise in demand which leads to privacy issues. Over the period of time due to IIoT, Industry 4.0, new threats and high-profile IoT-driven cyber-attacks have been identified. For IoT security, we must switch to ML and DL methodologies to identify and resolve new threats and vulnerabilities.
