Reverse Supply Chain Inventory Management With Remanufacturing of Multiple Products

Abstract

The model is designed to investigate the collection of returned products by assuming the demand of the remanufactured product to be stochastic following general distribution. The main aim of this reverse supply chain model is to maximize the expected profit. The model is designed for single period context where the used multiple products are collected from different collection sites with sorting. The collection sites are assumed to have sufficient returned products where the multiple used products are collected from these collection sites for remanufacturing. It is modeled in three phases, and detailed discussion is being done for the model without sorting, model with sorting at phase one, and model with sorting at both the phases. The maximum expected profit is obtained when the acquisition quantities for each product are equal using nonlinear optimization method.
