Starting Food Chain as a SME in Canada

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises hold an utmost importance while considering any nation's growth, prosperity, and the betterment of its economy. This chapter aims to focus on the SMEs in Canada as a nation and how food chain as a SME can flourish successfully by using social media as a tool for its success. The types of food chain SMEs, the procedures for launching a food chain, acquiring license for food chain, possible challenges that could be faced in food chain SME are also discussed. Social media's adoption and usage to attract customers, promote products and services, market promotions are also intended to be discussed. Social media strategies for food chain SMEs including paid application sponsored advertisements, influencer-promoted paid promotions, food chain SMEs own page posts and promotions, and getting the food chain's social media verified officially will be the foci.
