Abstract
Schizophrenia as a disease has received attention from all walks of life without a specific consensus toward its definition. Many experts in the medical field, cognitive behaviorists, and special educationists have deliberated on the disease called schizophrenia, with almost same conclusions towards describing the disease and/or disorder. A unified definition however is that schizophrenia is a mental health condition that usually appears in the late adolescence or early adulthood. Its impact on speech, thinking, emotions, and other areas of life that can affect a person's social interactions and everyday activities. The condition is described as a fairly uncommon condition, affecting around 0.25% to 0.64% of people in the United States, according to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). It can have a profound impact on a person's life as well as the lives of those around them. No single factor can be said to be responsible for the condition manifesting.
