Privacy and Security Concerns in the Metaverse

Abstract

Every year, the metaverse grows to make the world more efficient and easy to use for all societies and industries. When connecting the virtual world to the real world and digital information, privacy and security are two of the most talked-about topics. This is because the metaverse has a lot of sensitive information. This chapter talks about some privacy and security problems in the metaverse and how they will affect the future. At the same time, even though the metaverse has become more advanced, its complexity produces a new situation where it raises the issues of privacy and security again. This chapter also explores and suggests countermeasures to combat privacy and security issues.
