Approach for 3D Modeling With Incandescent and Fluorescent Light in a Realistic View

Abstract

Most fluorescent lights have been designed for commercial purposes to light up streets, houses, buildings, etc., and as such, these lights possess a light tube wherein light is generated via a thin filament like source. Most 3ds Max lights are point-source based, and therefore require us to transform the light objects available in the 3ds Max software, in order to prevent any unnecessary delays in rendering a scene or produce non-similar light effects. Though less energy efficient than fluorescent lights, incandescent lights still are manufactured in a variety of shapes and sizes; however, these lights are slowly but surely being replaced by better energy-efficient lights sources. Some other natural sources of incandescent lights are burning fireplace, bonfires, lava, burners on a stove, etc. As noted from the examples, most natural incandescent light sources don't require electricity to illuminate the surroundings but still produce light through chemical reaction or burning.
