Abstract

Education had been done face-to-face since the first learning activity. As time progressed, there were times when people started to conduct education with different media, such as letters, later on radios, television, and the internet. Although there had been different distance learning opportunities, usage has been limited until COVID. After life with COVID, there are countries or universities that continue to do distance education or hybrid learning, although the pandemic conditions are relaxed. Virtual worlds, which are newly released and provide easy design, can be provided to be a more effective and efficient learning environment for institutions that provide education at university level. In this book chapter, the transformation of universities into digital will be discussed in detail, primarily through free virtual worlds and augmented reality applications such as Mozilla Hub.
