A nootropic herb is any plant or plant part that has been used medicinally for its ability to protect the nervous system through the action of active phytochemicals. The function of the receptors for the main inhibitory neurotransmitters is affected by phytocompounds from medicinal plants, which play a significant role in maintaining the chemical equilibrium of the brain.
