Generous Remuneration Fostering Organisation Towards Sustainability

Abstract

Employees have always been the backbone of any company. In building sustainable competitive advantages, remuneration is one critical component as it deals with multifaceted issues like employee performance, satisfaction, loyalty, career advancement, and whatnot. If generous remuneration is missing, it may lead to job dissatisfaction and develop turnover intentions among employees which may affect employee motivation which could result in enormously effective performances. In this chapter, the aim is to propagate the features contributing to generous remuneration especially considering the organization's orientation towards it. Why does not every organization follow socially and ethically responsible HRM practices when it comes to remunerating employees? The suggested model for sustainable, socially and ethically responsible HR practices indicated that employee engagement is highly determined by attractive and competitive remunerations to encourage employees to stay in the long run which makes an organization more sustainable in reducing attrition due to issues in-stable payment structures.
