Abstract
Rehabilitative healthcare is focused on restoring physical and cognitive abilities in individuals following injuries or diseases and has largely relied on traditional methods such as physical therapy and medical interventions over time. However, the metaverse, a collaborative virtual environment, has opened new possibilities for the field of rehabilitation. In comparison to traditional rehabilitation, this technology provides increased accessibility and convenience by allowing individuals to participate in therapy from the comfort of their own homes. The immersive and engaging nature of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies increases patient motivation and compliance with therapy regimens. Through the integration of telemedicine, wearable technologies, and artificial intelligence, rehabilitation can become more sophisticated and personalized. The use of these technologies can enable the acquisition, analysis, and tracking of patient data, as well as providing real-time feedback for the improvement of treatment regimens and outcomes.
