Utilizing information and communication technology (ICT), smart cities address urban challenges, enhance quality of life, and champion sustainability. The integration of IoT technology and green practices facilitates real-time data collection, green innovation, and eco-friendly urban development. Technological advancements, spanning renewable energy integration to circular economy solutions, propel environmental sustainability. Sustainable mobility solutions, energy management, and effective environmental monitoring contribute to smart and sustainable urban environments. Citizen engagement, crucial for success, requires inclusive planning and careful technology platform consideration. Challenges in implementing smart city technologies encompass ICT infrastructure, regulations, community participation, costs, and data privacy.
