Abstract
This chapter delves into the significance of cloud computing in the healthcare industry highlighting its key advantages, barriers, and challenges. Furthermore, it explores the crucial applications of cloud computing in healthcare, which would be impossible without appropriate digital infrastructure. Nowadays, most healthcare providers offer internet of things (IoT) enabled devices to patients, allowing patient data to be sent to them immediately. Doctors connect these devices to hospitals' cloud systems, improving efficiency and expanding how healthcare delivery can be facilitated. Cloud computing, along with technologies like big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and the medical internet of things, will also enhance interoperability and reduce costs by making resources more easily accessible.
