Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) has completely changed the way patient data and healthcare monitoring are tracked and recorded. It has revolutionized the field by guaranteeing consistent, round-the-clock tracking without the need for expensive, scarce human resources and with a low chance of error. Since wearable sensors and body sensor networks enable remote diagnosis in emergency situations, the IoT facilitates communication between medical professionals and patients. However, integrating IoT into healthcare systems may result in patient privacy being violated. Blockchain technology and IoT can be integrated to improve security, transparency, interoperability, and efficiency in medical healthcare solutions. The main objective of this chapter is to discuss the issues and challenges in health care systems and workable solutions through innovative computer technologies, such as blockchain and the Internet of Things.
