Abstract
The present study is based on systematic review approach to construct an interpretive framework that provides insights into the definitional perspectives and the implementation of strategic practices in developed nations. The synthesis of these diversified concepts within the literature provides an understanding of prospects and hassles for developing nations regarding implementing responsible tourism strategies. A conceptual model has been proposed in the study for promotion of responsible tourism. The study depicts the challenges that are faced by developed nations while implementing the strategies due to the contrasting demands of various stakeholders and the flaws in the strategic aspects of existing tourism policies. It includes recommendations to capitalists, government authorities, and tourists regarding broader tourism planning and management to balance their approaches necessary for global tourism to flourish.
