Abstract
The chapter delves into the transformative impact of integrating Māori perspectives into artificial intelligence in education (AIed), reshaping the educational landscape. Grounded in Māori principles such as mauri and tikanga Māori, this approach personalizes learning experiences, intertwining well-being with academic success. Tikanga Māori becomes a foundational design principle, fostering inclusivity and dismantling educational inequalities. The dialogic education model, inspired by Māori principles, emerges as a collaborative and culturally rich educational future. Indigeneity, integral to this transformation, affirms cultural identities, decolonizes education, and empowers learners. In this vision, technology and culture coexist harmoniously, illuminating an inclusive and transformative educational horizon. Embracing Māori perspectives not only shapes education but also fosters a profound respect for diversity, creating an environment where every learner can flourish.
