Abstract
This chapter is dedicated to how expatriate instructors can contribute to the internationalization of educational institutions, which is one of the key points in global accreditation standards. Firstly, expatriate instructors are defined as a cultural group, then the directions for the possible contribution of expatriate instructors to the achievement of international standards are discussed, and other areas where they can contribute to the development of an educational institution are specified. The chapter concludes with the benefits and challenges of becoming an expatriate instructor and a profile of an average expatriate instructor working in Oman. Overall, their role in the internationalization of an educational institution is evaluated positively.
