Abstract

In this chapter the authors explore how digital twins and artificial intelligence (AI) are reshaping the space sector. Through an extensive literature survey, assessing their current impact on space technology. Unveiling transformative applications, such as real-time space debris tracking and AI-driven deep space communication. AI also plays a vital role in astronaut health monitoring, while digital twins optimize satellite operations and spacecraft design. Empirical results demonstrate improved efficiency, safety, and data-driven decision-making. This chapter then delves into societal implications and future trends, revealing the transformative journey of space technology led by digital twins and AI. The chapter delves into empirical results, offering insights into the practical implementation of these systems and fostering in-depth discussions. It highlights their advantages, including increased efficiency, safety, and data-driven decision-making.
