Abstract

This study aims to investigate how tourists' behavioral aspects are linked to their willingness to pursue green tourism practices and responsible behavior. For this study, the PLS-SEM technique is employed to analyze the data collected from 211 tourists using purposive sampling. The study's results indicate that tourists' green tourism (GT) perception does not significantly influence their environmentally responsible tourism behavior (ERTB). However, environmental concern (EC) significantly and directly influences ERTB. Moreover, the perception of GT and EC significantly affects the intention of participation. Furthermore, the intention of participation directly and significantly influences ERTB. Moreover, the intention of participation has a noticeable mediation effect on the connection between GT perception and ERTB along with partial mediation effect on the relationship between EC and ERTB. Therefore, policymakers might use the study's results to formulate or revise suitable plans for the future survival of the tourism industry.
