Abstract
This chapter examines the integration of corporate social responsibility (CSR) concepts in the Slovenian aluminium industry and their substantial influence on this sector. The aluminium industry's commitment to CSR principles, as emphasized in this article, not only reinforces its path towards sustainable growth but also highlights its fundamental and vital role in promoting environmental responsibility, ethical conduct, and social well-being, contributing significantly to local and global contexts. The case study uncovers the holistic approach the two prominent Slovenian aluminium companies took in adopting evolving CSR principles, spanning technology adoption, human rights advocacy. The research analyses CSR practices within the Slovenian aluminium industry, assessing their accordance with Corporate Sustainability Reporting requirements outlined by the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
