Abstract
Alamouti decode and forward (DF) relaying protocol using cooperative-maximum combining ratio (C-MRC) for three user cooperative system is considered. The performance of approximate SER for Alamouti DF relaying protocol with M-PSK modulation over Rayleigh fading and Rician fading channel is presented and compared with upper bound SER results. The approximate SER of proposed protocol is asymptotically tight at high SNR compared to the upper bound. The Alamouti DF relaying protocol provides full diversity gain compared with the existing Protocols. The PSO algorithm is used to calculate the optimum PA factor based on the minimum approximate SER. The simulated SER is compared with the theoretical approximate SER. It is shown that the Alamouti DF relaying protocol outperforms the existing Alamouti AF, AF, and DF relaying protocols. Modified cooperative subchannel allocation (CSA) algorithm for Alamouti DF relaying protocol using C-MRC technique is proposed, which maximizes the total throughput of the multiuser orthogonal frequency division multiplexing access (OFDMA) systems.
