Abstract
This chapter explores the convergence of advanced analytics and quantum computing in revolutionizing procurement strategies. Procurement plays a pivotal role in supply chain management, impacting cost, quality, and supplier relationships. Traditional procurement approaches often rely on static models and historical data, limiting their ability to adapt to dynamic market conditions and optimize decision-making processes. However, by integrating advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning and predictive analytics, with the computational power of quantum computing, organizations can unlock new insights and enhance procurement effectiveness. This chapter discusses the principles of quantum computing and its applications in procurement optimization, supplier risk management, and contract negotiation. Through case studies and practical examples, the chapter illustrates how the synergy between advanced analytics and quantum computing can drive innovation, mitigate risks, and create strategic advantages in procurement operations.
