Abstract
Shoppers take advantage of the retail store to check the product but finally order it online, thus posing a great bane for the offline retailers. Due to the absence of any systematic treatment of ‘showrooming.' This chapter discusses the reasons why the customers indulge in showrooming, the reasons to understand why customers visit the offline store and make the purchase online, how the measure is developed to access showrooming and how it will help the retailers to understand and combat this issue, the ethical concerns related to showrooming as the retailer who displays the products in the offline store, provides complete service to its customers, but the customers resort to online buying after availing the services of the offline retailers. This concern has raised not only ethical issues but also issues concerning the survival of these retail stores in future. This chapter will serve as a complete guide to help retailers evade this ethical concern and handle the issue of showrooming with awareness about the reasons of customers indulging in showrooming.
