Abstract

This chapter explores the integration of soft computing techniques into maternal healthcare, aiming to enhance outcomes and revolutionize care delivery. It delves into the theoretical foundations of soft computing and its applicability to maternal health, emphasizing its potential to address the multifaceted challenges inherent in maternal care. From preconception to postpartum, various soft computing applications, including predictive analytics, personalized medicine, and telehealth services, offer innovative solutions to optimize maternal health services. Through an interdisciplinary lens, this chapter integrates insights from computer science, medicine, and public health to provide a comprehensive overview of the role of soft computing in maternal care. By fostering collaboration between stakeholders, this chapter lays the groundwork for subsequent discussions on specific applications and advancements in maternal health initiatives worldwide.
