Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of crises on higher education systems while examining the moderating effect of crisis management and its impacts on crises and higher education systems. In order to achieve the research objectives, the researcher collected data through an online survey. The study revealed that crises have a negative impact on higher education systems, while crisis management has a negative effect on crises and a positive impact on higher education systems. The study also found out that crisis management moderates the relationship between crises and higher education systems. Based on the results, the researcher presented recommendations for identifying and proactively preparing the next generation of leaders in education institutions to be able to enhance resilience and deal and react efficiently with any crisis that may occur.
