Abstract
The energy landscape is rapidly changing in an increasingly interconnected world, presenting both opportunities and challenges to develop and developing countries. The end of the coal, gas, and oil cycles is expected, which has resulted in a significant rise in greenhouse gas emissions and an energy crisis. This chapter offers a thorough analysis of global energy concerns, outlining trends, obstacles, and suggested courses of action. The goal is to present and analyze data from numerous studies on the energy crisis in the US, Europe, and developing nations (Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh) using actual statistics. International Energy Agency, World Bank, United Nations Environment Programme, and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change data are compared with data from developed and developing nations. Both developed and developing countries need to focus on renewable energy such as wind energy, solar energy, biomass, electricity and geothermal energy.
