Abstract
Urban sustainability stands at the forefront of contemporary discourse, propelled by the urgent need to address the multifaceted challenges spurred by rapid urbanization, climate change, increasing population, resource depletion, and social inequality. To respond to these emerging issues, this research abstract delves into the foundational principles and strategic approaches of urban sustainability. It aims to furnish a comprehensive elucidation tailored for policymakers, urban planners, and stakeholders alike, recognizing the pivotal role they play in shaping the cities of tomorrow. At its heart, urban sustainability strives to strike a harmony between economic vibrancy, social inclusivity, and environmental stewardship. The United Nations has predicted that by 2050, the urban population will rise to nearly 70% all over the world. Urban sustainability emerges as a beacon of hope, offering a roadmap towards more inclusive, resilient, and environmentally conscious cities. It calls for a departure from conventional urban development paradigms towards holistic, long-term solutions that keep the well-being of both people and the planet on priority.
