Abstract

This research aims to delves into the perspectives of researchers in unleashing ChatGPT's potential in academic research. The researchers are encouraged to extensively discuss their perspectives on perceived benefits, limitations of ChatGPT in academic research, as well as share insights into potential strategies for enhancing ChatGPT's effectiveness in academic research. The study uses interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) as the research methodological framework to gain insights into the perspectives of researchers, aligning with the objectives of the study. The study was carried out in the Uttarakhand region of India. Semi-structured in-depth interviews were carried out to collect data from the researchers. The authors(s) always maintained respect, privacy concerns, and a non-judgmental outlook towards the research participant during sample selection and interview.
