Abstract
The numerous ways that environmental changes may have a major influence on people's well-being are examined in this proposed chapter, along with the connection between climate change and mental health. The chapter aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the psychological implications of climate change using an interdisciplinary approach that integrates results from environmental science, psychology, and sociology. An overview of the corpus of research on the subject is provided in the proposal, with a focus on significant findings on the direct and indirect impacts of climate change on mental health. This chapter will look at the psychological strains caused by extreme weather events like heat waves, floods, and storms, as well as how these stressors impact mental health conditions like PTSD and anxiety.
